Urban Legends IV – Competitive Commander Tournament

The next Urban Legend will be crowned at Urban Empire Collectables!

Urban Legends IV is our next major competitive Commander tournament, bringing together 40 cEDH players for a full day of high-powered Magic: The Gathering.

The champion will walk away with a Volcanic Island from Revised Edition, while second, third and fourth place will each receive $200 cash.

Event Details

Date: Saturday, 10 October 2026
Sign-in: From 9:00am
Tournament begins: 10:00am
Entry: $50 per player
Capacity: Strictly limited to 40 players
Format: Competitive Commander (cEDH)
Location: Urban Empire Collectables, Unit 4/2 Templar Pl, Bennetts Green NSW 2290

This is an all-day tournament. Players should plan to remain at the venue for the duration of the event if they qualify for the Top Cut.

Tickets go on sale online on Tuesday, 1 September 2026.

Prizes

1st Place: Volcanic Island – Revised Edition (3ED)
2nd Place: $200 cash
3rd Place: $200 cash
4th Place: $200 cash

Random lucky-door prizes will also be awarded throughout the event, giving every player more chances to take something home.

Tournament Structure

The tournament will begin with four rounds of Swiss, followed by a Top 10 Cut.

  • Players ranked first and second after the Swiss rounds advance directly to the final.
  • Players ranked third through tenth will compete across two semifinal pods.
  • The winner of each semifinal pod will join the top two Swiss players in the four-player final.
  • The winner of the final will be crowned the Urban Legends IV Champion.

Decklists

Decklists must be submitted before the tournament begins.

Players can email their decklist to info@urbanempirecollectables.com before the event or provide a clearly handwritten decklist during sign-in.

Please allow enough time to complete your decklist before the 10:00am start.

Proxy Policy

Full proxy decks are permitted.

Printed and handwritten proxies are accepted, provided every card is clear, readable and easily identifiable during gameplay. All cards and proxies must use card stock of a consistent thickness throughout the deck so that no card can be identified while shuffled or face down.

The Urban Legends Legacy

Urban Legends has become one of Urban Empire’s premier competitive Commander events.

At Urban Legends III, Peter Shanko claimed the title and took home a Tundra from Revised Edition.

Whether you're testing a new deck or playing your favourite Commander, everyone is welcome for an afternoon of multiplayer Magic.

6:00pm – Sign In

6:30pm – Competitive Commander (cEDH)

Looking for a more competitive challenge? Our cEDH nights bring together experienced Commander players battling for store credit prizes.

Prize pool paid as Store Credit.

Sunday Schedule

3:00pm – Sign In

3:30pm – Casual Magic

Bring your deck or join in for casual games. Players are welcome to enjoy either format throughout the afternoon.
