Where to Buy NRL Cards in Australia (2026 Guide)

Rugby league cards have a loyal following in Australia, and for good reason. Whether you grew up opening packs at the newsagent or you have just started chasing your club's best players, NRL cards are one of the few corners of the hobby that are genuinely ours.

This guide covers the official products, where to buy them, and what we have in stock right now.

1. Official NRL products this season

Select holds the official NRL trading card licence. Its new licence started on 1 November 2025, and its last NRL product before that was released in 2012. The current main release is 2026 NRL League Heroes, released 26 February 2026, with 9 cards per pack and 36 packs per retail box, plus hobby boxes.

Rather than reprint a checklist here and risk it going stale, we recommend checking Select's official checklists page for the current set details before you buy.

Older Select NRL product from its earlier licence is also worth a look. Sealed boxes and packs from past seasons make a nostalgic rip.

2. Trusted Australian places to buy NRL cards

  • Select directly. The official brand store is the source for current releases.
  • Hobby shops. A dedicated card shop will usually carry sealed product, singles and back-catalogue boxes, and can give you an honest opinion on what's worth opening. That's what we do at Urban Empire Collectables in Newcastle, online and in store.
  • Marketplaces. eBay and Facebook groups are useful for older singles. Check seller history before you buy.

3. What we stock

Browse our NRL collection for sealed boxes and packs, and our NRL singles collection for individual cards (none in stock at the time of writing). A few sealed products in stock right now (prices as at 13 October 2026):

Visit us at Unit 4/2 Templar Pl, Bennetts Green NSW 2290 or call (02) 4049 2264. See our Newcastle card shop page for store details.
